Project terms are matched to the work. The important details can be put in writing and agreed before work begins.

Quotes and scope
Estimated website ranges on this site are guidance, not fixed package prices. A final quote is based on the actual requirements. The agreed scope can identify deliverables, responsibilities, assumptions, timing, review rounds, and any items that are not included.
Payment information
Payment structure depends on project size and risk. A project may use full payment, a deposit with a completion balance, or agreed milestones. The amount, due dates, accepted payment method, and any third-party costs can be stated before work starts. McDowell Digital Services does not require every website customer to purchase a recurring subscription.
Additional work
Work requested outside the approved scope may be quoted separately or added through a written change approval. Clients can decide whether to proceed before additional billable work is performed.
Cancellations
Cancellation terms can be included in the project agreement. If a project is canceled after work begins, payment may be due for work already performed and for approved, nonrecoverable expenses. Any treatment of unused prepaid amounts will follow the accepted agreement and the circumstances of the project.
Refunds and corrections
Because website projects often involve custom work, refunds are evaluated according to the agreed scope, work completed, accepted milestones, and applicable project terms. Issues with an agreed deliverable should be reported promptly so they can be reviewed and, where within scope, corrected. This statement does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ongoing maintenance
Maintenance and monitoring are optional unless specifically included in a project. A maintenance agreement can define included tasks, response expectations, monthly capacity, exclusions, renewal, and cancellation notice. Ending ongoing support does not retroactively cancel completed one-time project work.
Third-party charges
Domains, hosting, software subscriptions, premium plugins, payment processing, APIs, stock assets, or other third-party services may have separate fees and terms. Responsibility for those charges can be clarified in the quote or project agreement.
